Lesson four: inside the Option Built Collective. By now, you've seen the core idea. Your freedom score gives you a baseline. The Triple Freedom Framework gives you the right order.
0:13
Personal freedom first, business freedom next, financial freedom as the outcome. But here's the thing about clarity. Clarity doesn't become action on its own.
0:24
You can understand the right order completely and still wake up Monday running the business exactly the way you always have. That gap between knowing and doing is exactly why the Option Built Collective exists.
0:37
So let me tell you what the collective actually is.
0:40
The Option Built Collective is a private business owner-only environment created by Greg Maddox and Kara Gray, the authors of Life First, Business Second, and the creators of the Triple Freedom Framework.
0:53
It's built for owners who want to move from awareness into action without getting buried under even more disconnected advice. And let me be just as clear about what it is not. It's not a mastermind.
1:06
It's not a networking group. It's not a content library you'll feel guilty about never finishing.
1:11
It's not a business coaching program, and it is definitely not a place where your advisors sit in the room and tell you what to do.
1:18
It's an owner-only environment where Greg and Kara guide business owners through a practical process, turning your freedom score into a first version execution roadmap.
1:28
That owner-only distinction really matters, and I want to sit on it for a second.
1:33
Inside the collective, owners finally have space to slow down, think honestly, and ask the questions they may not be ready to ask in front of their advisors, their team, their spouse, or their employees. Questions like,
1:47
"What do I actually want the business to make possible?" "Where has success started costing me more than I expected?" "What role do I even want to play in the business going forward?" "Where am I still too central?"
2:01
"What planning have I delayed because it never felt connected to business results?" Those questions need room. They need language. They need structure.
2:11
And sometimes they need to be explored alongside other owners who understand the weight of building, leading, funding, and carrying a business. That's part of what we call the collective advantage.
2:22
You're not trying to solve freedom alone.
2:24
Now, the first experience inside the collective is the complimentary thirty-day owner-only experience, and I want to be straight with you about the word complimentary because it matters.
2:36
There is no fee to participate in the thirty-day experience when you're accepted into an upcoming cohort. We make the first thirty days complimentary on purpose because we believe trust is earned through value.
2:49
You should be able to experience the framework, the tools, the conversations, the peer environment, and Greg and Kara's guidance firsthand before you ever make a longer-term decision about whether the collective is right for you.
3:03
The thirty days is not a teaser. It's a complete first step, and its whole purpose is to help you turn awareness into clarity.
3:11
Inside the experience, you begin building a first version execution roadmap around three questions. What do I want the business to make possible? What does the business need to become to pull that off?
3:23
And what planning can my advisor team help with that accelerates those results? That's the work. Not a perfect plan, not a giant binder you'll never open, not another list of things to someday get around to.
3:37
A first version roadmap. Something you can actually use. Something your advisor team can actually understand. Something that finally connects your life, your business, and your wealth in the right order.
3:53
And the experience is intentionally simple. It's built around four weeks. Week one, you benchmark your freedom.
4:02
You've already taken the freedom score, so you've got a baseline across personal, business, and financial freedom. Inside the cohort, you revisit those results through the lens of the framework.
4:13
This isn't about getting a good score. It's about seeing what the score is showing you. Where does the business currently support your freedom? Where does it restrict it?
4:23
Where are you leaking energy, options, time, or confidence? Where has someday quietly become the default plan? Your score becomes the starting point for a far more honest conversation.
4:37
Week two, you clarify what you want the business to make possible.
4:41
Most owners have business goals, revenue goals, profit goals, growth goals, exit goals, but far fewer have clearly defined what they want the business to make possible in their actual life.
4:53
So this week focuses on personal freedom, not as a soft concept, but as the strategic starting point. What kind of life is this business supposed to support? What do you want more of? What do you want less of?
5:08
What does enough actually mean? When that gets clearer, your business decisions get sharper. You stop growing for growth's sake and start building toward a life and a set of options you've actually defined. Week three,
5:24
you get honest about what the business needs to become. Now the focus turns to business freedom, and you start looking at the business as the vehicle that's supposed to carry the life you want.
5:35
The question isn't, is the business successful? The better question is, is it healthy enough, transferable enough, and independent enough to create the options I want? This is where a lot of owners see it.
5:49
The same issues draining their time today are usually the exact issues capping enterprise value tomorrow. If you're still the center of too many decisions, that's personal pressure and reduced transferability.
6:02
If systems live in people's heads, that's daily inefficiency and buyer risk. Business freedom and business value are not separate things. They're connected.
6:12
And this is also where the business health and value assessment fits in. It's not pre-work you do before the cohort. It's part of the cohort experience itself. Week four, you build your first version execution roadmap.
6:27
Now the pieces come together across all three freedoms. Personal. What do you want the business to make possible? Business. What does it need to become to support that? Financial.
6:41
What planning, liquidity, protection, or advisor conversations can accelerate those results? The roadmap doesn't need to solve everything. It needs to create alignment. It gives you language.
6:54
It gives your advisor team direction. And it helps you stop treating your personal, business, and financial decisions as three separate projects.
7:02
It helps you see which conversations need to happen next and where to focus over the next ninety days. And that ninety-day rhythm matters because freedom isn't built once. It's built in sprints.
7:15
Inside the Option Built framework, owners learn to update their roadmap quarterly and build momentum through ninety-day execution cycles. That keeps the whole thing practical. You don't need to fix everything at once.
7:28
You just need the right next sprint.
7:30
So by the end of the thirty-day owner-only experience, the goal is for you to walk away with a clearer understanding of your freedom score, a clearer sense of what you want the business to make possible,
7:42
a real understanding of what the business needs to become,
7:46
a first version execution roadmap, a stronger way to engage your advisor team, and a short list of next actions that finally connect your personal goals, your business results, and your financial planning.
7:59
You won't have every answer. You'll have the right starting point. And that's exactly what the collective is built to create. So here's what I'd leave you with.
8:09
Of these three questions, which one feels the least clear to you right now? What do I want the business to make possible? What does the business need to become to pull that off?
8:20
Or what planning can my advisor team help with that accelerates those results? Pick the one that feels foggiest. Write one sentence about why, and bring that sentence with you into the cohort.
